About Me

My Background

I’m CT Wilkes, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #144774 (under supervision of Dr. Dwight Norman #PSY31201).

The moment I knew I definitively wanted to be a therapist was when I helped a young person avoid harming herself when I was a lifeline counselor at a LGBTQ+ suicide prevention organization.

From there, my passion for serving the LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities grew even stronger as I completed my B.A. in Psychology and then my Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy at California State University Northridge.

Before coming to Meridian Counseling, I worked with children, teens, young adults, and families navigating life stressors like divorce, trauma/abuse, personal identity development, and other life transitions. My top clinical interests include working with ADHD, anxiety, generational patterns of trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues. When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you can find me at a Dodger’s game, listening to an audio book, jamming with my musical friends, or traveling/ experiencing different cities and cultures around the world with my partner.
